“The 2023 Prince of Hearts Cabernet Sauvignon is a striking reflection of the vintage and a testament to the exceptional quality Blankiet continues to deliver. It opens with a vibrant symphony of ripe black cherry, dark cassis, and subtle graphite, seamlessly layered with floral nuances, spicy oak, mocha, and a delicate touch of fresh sage. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is beautifully textured and impeccably balanced, offering richness without excess and elegance without compromise. Silky, polished tannins provide structure and grace, carrying the wine through to a long, poised, and resonant finish. This is a remarkable Cabernet that delivers exceptional quality in its youth yet possesses the structure and complexity to continue evolving gracefully for years to come.”

“More Merlot-dominated and sourced entirely from their Paradise Hills Vineyard Estate in Yountville from vines dating back to 1996, the 2023 Prince of Hearts is based on 52% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot. Aged for 18 months in equal part new and second-fill French oak barrels. Deep purple-hued, it is a rocking effort offering black cherries, graphite, sappy flowers, leather, anda kiss of scorched earth. Medium to full-bodied, it has a pure, layered mouthfeel, the tannins of the vintage, and a great finish. Beautifully done, this pure, graceful, impeccably balanced beauty will have 15-20 years of prime drinking”.
