Grapes Variety: 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot.

‘Blankiet was among the highlights in my tastings of the 2014s. The wines have aged impeccably and are in a sweet spot today to of fer maximum pleasure. It’ s always a bit difficult to taste wines from this era, as the 2014s were made by Denis and May-Britt Malbec for proprietors Claude and Katherine Blankiet before Denis’ passing in an automotive accident. The wines will remain a brilliant testament to what the Malbecs achieved at Blankiet.’

‘The 2014 Prince of Hearts has aged impeccably , especially considering this wine was Blankiet’ s entry-level wine at the time. Bright in color and fresh, the 2014 is a delight. Crushed flowers, sweet, red-toned fruit, orange peel, spice, and cedar are all laced together . At ten years of age, the 2014 remains youthful and vibrant. Readers who still own it should be delighted. What a pretty wine this is!

The 2014 Prince of Hearts is fabulous. Soft, open-knit and expressive, the Prince of Hearts is one of the more gracious wines readers will find in this vintage. Expressive floral and red-toned fruit notes give the 2014 its feminine, sensual personality. This is one of the finest Napa Valley wines readers will find in its price range.
