A 100% Cabernet Sauvignon selection from the best lots. The darkest of all our wines. Extraordinarily deep with powerful yet refined tannins. A wine for extended cellaring.

VIEWA barrel selection of the estate’s best Cabernet Sauvignon, and amounting to just 139 cases, the 2023 Mythicvs Paradise Hills Vineyard is a towering example of what this grape on this site can produce. Complex and compelling, it starts with brooding overtones of mocha, dark chocolate, and cassis, then leavens that with higher-toned, red-fruited elements and hints of cedar and vanilla. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, it’s also creamy-textured and supple, seamlessly gliding into a long, lush, and nearly endless finish. Wow!
Tasting at Blankiet with winemaker Graeme MacDonald, who joined the team in 2016, revealed a heart-stopping collection of 2023s. From their small vineyard situated west of (behind) Dominus Estate and up into the lower slopes of the Mayacamas, the team at Blankiet deserves immense credit.
“When you get vintages where the curtain doesn’t close on you, you get to implement all your vision and philosophy,” said MacDonald. “What ’23 brings to the table is exactly what I like to drink — and to have the owner pushing you to take risks is unique.”

VIEWThe 2023 ‘Mythicvs’ Cabernet Sauvignon stands as the crown jewel of Blankiet’s portfolio, crafted from the most exceptional lots of Cabernet Sauvignon from the esteemed Paradise Hills Vineyard, and is once again an utterly brilliant wine. It displays striking purity and character, delivering captivating aromas of ripe blackcurrants and black cherries that are accented with layers of graphite, violets, tobacco leaf, florals, and hints of exotic spices. The wine unfolds with incredible precision on the palate, showcasing a full-bodied profile that is both richly textured and beautifully composed. Its refined structure and impeccable balance give it a sense of elegance, while the depth and clarity of flavor carry through a long, detailed finish. While already immensely appealing in its youth, the 2023 Mythicvs is built for longevity, promising even greater complexity and elegance as it matures over the coming decades. Simply Magnificent!

VIEW“The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Mythicvs, Paradise Hills Vineyard marries power with finesse. It’s a rich, potent wine, stylistically far more concentrated than the other top wines in this range. Blackberry, chocolate, mocha, dried herbs, graphite, and incense stain the palate. Readers who enjoy more finessed Cabernets may prefer the Proprietary Red, as Mythicvs is quite the powerhouse in 2023. Incisive, muscular tannins wrap it all together. Time in the glass brings out the wine’s sensual aromatics, but don’t be fooled, this needs time”.

• SOURCE Napa Valley’s 2023“The flagship of this estate and a top barrel selection of the 2023, Cabernet Sauvignon Mythicvs, is made only in top years. The 2023 is all varietal and spent 18 months in 100% new Taransaud T5 barrels. With a saturated purple hue, it offers sweet currants and smoked tobacco, blueberries, liquid violet, and pen ink nuances. It is full-bodied, has an incredibly pure, seamless mouthfeel, ultra-fine yet certainly present tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It is another heavenly, incredibly pure, classy Cabernet Sauvignon from this estate, with so much to love. Hide bottles for 4-5 years, then enjoy over the next 2-3 decades”.

The Wine Palate (January 2026)

VIEW“The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Mythicvs is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple colored. Swirling in the glass is needed to coax out vibrant, pure notes of ripe blackberries, cassis, and plum preserves, followed by hints of wet slate, bay leaf, lavender oil, and cedar. The full-bodied palate is stacked with densely packed black fruit and savory layers, supported by very firm, ripe tannins and beautifully knit freshness. Finishing with epic length and depth.”
