A 100% Cabernet Sauvignon selection from the best lots. The darkest of all our wines. Extraordinarily deep with powerful yet refined tannins. A wine for extended cellaring.

Drinking window: 2024 – 2039Blankiet was among the highlights in my tastings of the 2014s. The wines have aged impeccably and are in a sweet spot today to offer maximum pleasure. It’s always a bit difficult to taste wines from this era, as the 2014s were made by Denis and May-Britt Malbec for proprietors Claude and Katherine Blankiet before Denis’ passing in an automotive accident. The wines will remain a brilliant testament to what the Malbecs achieved at Blankiet. The Cabernet Sauvignon Mythicvs is so impressive.
‘The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Mythicvs Paradise Hills Vineyard is fabulous. A wine of precision and tension, it impresses with its freshness, vibrancy and sheer beauty. Bright acids cut through a core of red-toned fruit, blood orange, mint, spice, and rose petals. Its balance and poise are simply exquisite. This is, without question, one of the wines of the year. Mythicvs is among the 2014s that have awakened following a long slumber after bottling. What a wine!

VIEWThe 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Mythicus, Blankiet’s 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, is another strong wine. Restrained and polished, but with plenty of supporting tannin, the 2014 is shaping up to be another strong wine. Today, the Mythicus is not as different from the Proprietary Red, but it is also tightly wound following its recent bottling. I expect the 2014 will blossom with time in bottle.
