    Rating: (93)

The 2019 Prince of Music is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.5% Merlot, 5.9% Cabernet Franc and 1.6% Petit Verdot. This wine is open and expressive, offering bright, vivid aromas of dark cherries and blueberries, which come together with sweet spices, tobacco, herbs, and fresh violets, all accented with lovely toasted oak nuances. On the palate, this is full-bodied and opulent, with beautiful plush texture and mouthwatering flavors of ripe dark fruits that expand through the finish. While the Prince of Music is accessible and drinking beautifully right now, it should also offer a drinking window that spans at least a decade.

    Rating: (92)

The entry level wine of this reference point estate, the 2019 Red Blend Prince of Music checks in as 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot. It’s a pure balanced, wonderfully textured and medium to full bodied beauty that represents a smoking value. Offering lots of darker berry fruits, tobacco, graphite, and crushed stone-like notes, it should be snatched up by savvy readers. 800 cases.
