The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Mythicvs, Paradise Hills Vineyard has gained the most with time in bottle. Impenetrable and brooding at the outset, the 2012 has developed into a wine of sublime elegance. Dark red cherry, plum, rose petal, spice and mint all flesh out with some air. Seamless and yet potent, the 2012 is so well balanced. The tannins have really softened, more than I thought possible at the outset. This is Blankiet and their late winemaker, the brilliant Denis Malbec, at their best.
