“Based on 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. Aged for 18 months in 80% new French oak, the 2023 Proprietary Red represents the 25th harvest at Blankiet Estate from their Paradise Hills Vineyard on the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains above Yountville. Deep purple-hued, it offers an absolutely stunning perfume of darker currants, subtle cassis, sweet tobacco, and damp earth. It is medium to full-bodied, has a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, finely polished yet building tannins, and a great finish. It has a Bordeaux-like style in its structure and acid profile and is going to benefit from a solid 3-5 years of bottle age”.
