The 2019 ‘Rive Droite’ is a simply magical wine from Blankiet in this vintage and one of the most impressive Merlot wines you will come across. Composed of 98% Merlot and a remaining dash of Cabernet Franc, it offers incredibly perfumed aromas of blackberries, blueberries, and currants, laced with crushed gravel, pencil shavings, herbs, and hints of tobacco all taking shape in the glass. It is just as impressive on the palate, showing a beautifully balanced, full- bodied texture with gorgeously polished tannins resulting in an exceptional mouthfeel. In addition, it displays outstanding focus and precision through the long mineral-driven finish. This ‘Rive Droite’ is simply a stunning wine and a wonderful example of Merlot at its finest.
